The Institute for Body Awareness is a sole proprietorship, founded and designed to provide a forum for trainings, workshops, private coaching for managers and executives, private counseling and bodywork, and consultation for counselors and bodyworkers.

Current offerings include lectures, trainings and workshops including Bring Your Body to Work, Kinesthetic Parenting, Teaching Kinesthetic Awareness to Children, and private sessions in professional coaching, plus Inner Body Awareness counseling,  Inner Process Bodywork and Rosen Method. Consultation for counselors and bodyworkers is also available.


 
Caroline Goodell, Founder and Director of the Institute for Body Awareness; Creator of Bring Your Body to Work and Kinesthetic Parenting. Caroline holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Performing Arts from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. She is a certified Rosen Method practitioner, a Washington State Certified Counselor and a Licensed Massage Practitioner. Caroline was on the faculty of Ashmead College, Seattle from 1990 - 1994 as a kinesiology instructor, and taught a workshop titled "Body Awareness and Psychotherapy" to graduate psychology students at Antioch University in Seattle annually for over ten years. She teaches the programs Bring Your Body to Work, Kinesthetic Parenting and Teaching Kinesthetic Awareness to Children in the United States and Europe.

As a Rosen Method practitioner Caroline assisted Marion Rosen in trainings in the United States and Canada. She has taught Introductory Workshops in Rosen Method bodywork and has presented many Lecture/Demonstrations on Rosen Method in Washington, Oregon and British Columbia. Caroline has supervised Rosen Method interns and also supervised and taught massage practitioners, introducing them to ethical approaches to addressing emotional material when it surfaces in their clients. She has been in private practice as a coach, bodyworker and counselor in Seattle since 1987.
